Is there anything special I need to do to move a package from one repo to another?

I have a package in one repo, with releases, and I want to move it to another repo.

I do not need to move the release history.

But I am wondering if git tags might need to be moved?

What's the source of truth for Changesets? Existing package.json files? Git tags?
