How to best do a simple form?

I want to create a simple form that shows details of a record. It should have all labels left aligned and the data right aligned.

What's the best way to do this without reinventing all the padding code?

And how to best handle some fields as input fields so that the user can change the content?

Answering my own question with some more findings:

• use fmt.Printf("%<width>s", "my string to pad")
• use text/tabwriter
