Hello Chris!
Can you give some examples of command line actions?
For example: import a certificate, import a key, sign a certificate with your own certification authority (if such an option exists).

Another question about the database. If we change the data in it, will xca accept it normally?

As long as it is the name or comment or ìmport date` then yes.
Changing id, item, hash or public/private key is usually not a good idea.
