The acquisition of Github by Microsoft has shown that centralized public development approaches are not sustainable.
I suggest to clone the Github website and functionalities into a Gittorrent repository which can be used with a local webserver.

Hi.

There is a project very similar to GitHub like: gogs, gitly, p2p-git-portal-poc - maybe GitTorrent can based from on these layouts, frontends, designs, ui.
