how to ignore an option if the vaulue of another option is equal to a custom string

I am using subcomand "create" for example:

app create [options] 
-f --fingerprint (not required)
-u --user        (not required)

But I want to ignore option -f <value> when the option -u is equal to new or at least return an error saying that -f is not valid when using -u = new

Any ideas about how could this be done? the option -f can be set or not, but I only want to ignore it when -u==new

There currently isn't a way to define a conditional conflict (there are some conditional requires). We have an exploration at more customization at #3476 but that would likely not be very ergonomic.

This can easily be handled on the caller side and you can even make errors that match clap errors.
