I understand you have chosen to use database approach to handle files, and updating database is done only trough actions from cloudreve. However, many have archive on other places, and it would be great to use cloudreve to access it. For that, "import files" is handy, but files also do change on original directories, leading to constant "import" jobs.

  1. Would you consider making "import folders" task, or "imported folders list". Something where you write original path and original destination, and settings are remembered so user can at any time "click" to refresh structure.
  2. Alternative: do not "import" anything to DB, let DB just have path of imported folder, and when user clicks, browse into that folder in real time like any file explorer. I understand this somewhat changes app architecture, but it also simplifies.

Obviously, Solution 2 is not in line with the original design intention. Cloudreve is file-independent. It depends on what the author thinks.
