Create:

  • README.md - with some initial info about the project, what it is the goal, who is working on it, etc.
  • LICENSE.md - pick an appropriate license and include it.
  • .gitignore - a list of file wild cards for git to ignore (add *.pyc)
  • Create a directory called docs and initialize a sphinx doc tree: https://www.sphinx-doc.org/en/master/
