#utils #Python utilities from a computational biologist A repository of code that I hope will be generally useful to data scientists. All comments, suggestions and pull requests are welcome!

I work almost entirely in an interactive IPython --pylab environment. Although I have tried to make all imports explicit in this code, it may be dependent on imports made by the --pylab option (similar to %pylab magic):

import numpy
import matplotlib
from matplotlib import pylab, mlab, pyplot
np = numpy
plt = pyplot

from IPython.display import display
from IPython.core.pylabtools import figsize, getfigs

from pylab import *
from numpy import *

In addition I may assume the following imports (but again, I try not to):

from __future__ import division
import pandas as pd
from scipy import stats
