How to override @types/d3 reference while importing d3

Existing Angular project uses d3 version of 5.15.1 and while trying to embed react changes in Angular which uses "react-flow-renderer" version "10.3.16" (which has @types/d3 version 7.4.0 dependency in it) then existing Angular project started to refer/pointing to @types/d3 but not d3, which causing error for my existing project. Basically, I still need to use d3 with version 5.15.1, without impacting BAU(Angular). How to avoid @types/d3 references in existing Angular project, and only "react-flow-renderer" need to use @types/d3.
