Currently, Fawkss does not aim for perfect compatibility with the SASS spec, and only employs SASS syntax for convenience's sake.

It may be interesting to set a realistic milestone, however, where Fawkss could be used to compile some mid-sized project such as Bourbon. What's the point of a pre-compiler if it can't be used to pre-compile anything useful?
