I saw that this project depend on requests for http interactions along with dnspython.
Just dropping in to propose switching Requests for Niquests.
it is a drop in replacement for Requests with both synchronous and asynchronous interface. Along with native support for HTTP/2 and 3, amongst other interesting things like but not limited to DoH, DoQ, happy eyeballs ...
The multiplexing aspect should bring a ton of performance improvements.
While its not advertised, it is resilient against most WAF (e.g. cloudflare).
A brief look into requirements.txt shows that this could simplify the overall dependency tree. You could also drop chardet for.. charset-normalizer? unless something prevents it..?
Let me know if you show any interest in this,
Would be happy to help or answer any concerns you may have.
