Purge event data from database

As time goes by, the database tables are filled with events and consumes more and more space. To clean house 🧹 it makes sense to purge old data.

Is it safe to periodically do as follows or are there any side effects?

Yes, it's safe, but I do not recommend doing it. Stripe does not store those events forever, so you will lose them if you do not archive them somehow.
