Hi there,

As mentioned a few times before, we were busy with getting ourselves a proper forum. The reason for this is that Github isn't really suitable for user questions or feature requests in these quantities. We've noticed that since we grew, it's hard to keep up with everything and help everyone out equally. On top of that, it got really messy and was hard to maintain by our volunteers with the time they had available.

We now finally have ourselves this forum and we've been up for a week now. We've had a few bumps with permissions and categories, but it's been better now and the response is great! Thanks for that  There's also some employees from Dresden-Elektronik actively helping out there. Good vibes!

If you haven't checked it out , you can find it here: https://www.phoscon.de/forum or https://forum.phoscon.de/

So how are things going to look here? Well, we are going to handle non-development related topics on the forum instead GitHub. The timeline is as followed:

06-07-2021 : Opening Forum for public and announcing on Discord > Done
13-07-2021 : Announcing forum on Github > This post
20-07-2021 : Removal of User Question and Feature request Templates from Github.

Any current open questions are staying open. They won't be forcibly closed. However, We do recommend that you start to use the forum as more people move away to the forums  After the 20th, anything user question or feature request related is getting closed and asked to post on the forum. Clarification: This also includes Bug Reports that could be considered user questions when they are not pointing to a specific bug in the current codebase.

I can see you thinking: So what needs to be asked where? Well, this list is a small guide on what to ask where, just to give some pointers

Feel free to browse around the forum and other categories as this is a small list 😉

If you have any questions, concern or other feedback: Feel free to reach out to us(on Discord or the Forums) or reply in this issue

Kind regards,
