I can't use java converter tool from FIT dev pack because I have to use a little modified fit files. And I can't fix this issue because of lack java knowledge. If there is some possibility of creating such a tool on python?

Hey AirWatchman,

I'm currently working a tool called fitdump which will be a FIT to CSV converter tool in my development branch. It's not yet ready, but look to the ng branch or its documentation for future updates.

Hope that helps!

David

Actually, I'll reopen and leave this pending as a reminder until the fitdump tool is ready!

+1 Trying to convert a TCX file to FIT and have it include power (watt) data. None of the solutions online so far have lead to success as they do not accept TCX files or drop power data when converting to FIT. Realise this is quite an old thread... Have you come across anything like this in the mean time?

@dtcooper fitdump is ready, but it reads FIT. This feature request is about writing a FIT file.

The Python fit library https://github.com/rembish/fit can create FIT files, but it's unmaintained for some time, though.
