Steps to reproduce

Using Element-Desktop nightly or stable on Macbook Pro M1 2020 with macOS 14 causes massive CPU usage at some point.
The application then stops responding (stable build) or just exits (nightly).

With the stable version I used to use two different profiles, but even uninstalling the app and moving away the profiles to just use one (default) does not change the behaviour.

I have been experiencing this since about April 2023 or so.

Outcome

What did you expect?

Running the app for more than 5 to 300 min.

What happened instead?

App gets unresponsive and exits/crashes.
