In Mc 1.7.10, the Redstone Repeater illuminates the surrounding area when turned on. Because of this, every time it switches, it causes multiple chunks to update and can cause stuttering and FPS drops. If a Repeater is located in the center of a chunk, it affects four adjacent chunks. In Mc 1.8 this lighting was disabled and if I understand correctly, this was done due to performance issues. I know that this problem can be worked around using a Redstone Lamp, but I think it would be better if the Repeater in Mc 1.7.10 worked like in the new versions of Mc and did not emit light at all. Is it possible?
