provide more connection status information in otel-cli status

Looks like there's a PR to add the ability to pass an existing gRPC connection to opentelemetry-go. This would make it possible to more carefully control the connection and provide detailed information to users who are debugging OTLP server connections.

Obsolete issue, and also fulfilled. Since writing, otel-cli moved to a custom grpc client, and #227 will finish off getting errors out of the guts for display.
