Tell us about your environment

  • ESLint Version: v5.16.0
  • Node Version: v10.16.3
  • npm Version: v6.9.0

What did you do? Please include the actual source code causing the issue, as well as the command that you used to run ESLint.

See "Fix: ensure --stdin flag works when stdin is piped asynchronously"

I'm getting this same problem on windows with Emacs/Flycheck + ESLint but only when the file size is larger than 4096.

Could someone have a look at nodejs/node#4697 (comment) and see whether my suggested changes can be applied?

What did you expect to happen?
ESLint can process the entire file.

What actually happened? Please include the actual, raw output from ESLint.
ESLint only processes 4096 bytes and then fails.

Are you willing to submit a pull request to fix this bug?
Yes.
