What changes did you make? (Give an overview)

I added these checkboxes, hoping that it would make it clear to PR authors that we have a consensus-seeking process in place. It seems like most people don't read past the first sentence, though, and therefore don't check the box. Since it's not serving its purpose, I'd like to propose we remove it.

Is there anything you'd like reviewers to focus on?
