Certain words, even it is professional, one can't just imagine a people type it and expect a word without manual selection.

e.g.
欧氏马先蒿欧氏亚种欧氏变种欧式变型

You may just want to limit the length around 7-8 to get rid of certain low frequent ones.

When the word is long, it is commonly just a combination of multiple short world, or just Chinese exonyms. Either case, it would be less meaningful to have them.

I have mixed feeling as this will also exclude actual useful items like "我们仍未知道那天所看见的花的名字" (anime name). So I did not add such limit yet.

no that’s not actually a valid argument. when you keep typing a word, the dict just mean you have to be typing the exact word in the dictionary and with no mistake. not to mention this title itself is already a sentence

Okay... I'll limit it to 8 for now.

Actually this gives me some hint about maybe we can generate candidate for long word based on prefix. I can try to add that feature to libime pinyin.

So we only need to type something like 4-5 py to show a really long world and make use of the dict more efficiently.

If that is the case, perhaps the limit can be lifted a bit? :)
