i use nats and not kafka.

https://github.com/nats-io/nats-server

the client is: https://github.com/nats-io/nats.go

It looks like https://github.com/fhmq/hmq/blob/master/plugins/bridge/bridge.go design will make it possible to add NATS.

Is the auth tied to kakfa ?

nats is already supported mqtt/mqtts
