Bug: Manage bit locker opens Windows File Explorer when Files is set as default #15344
Comments
Thanks for the report, Can you clarify that with Files Set as default option on, clicking BitLocker settings in the right click menu is opening Files rather than the control panel. |
In addition, I need to report a problem: when this version is set to the default explorer, other software will capture folders except for open folders on the desktop. For example, when you open the path where a file is located, you open the native manager, not the files. |

Thanks for the feedback. The Files app seems to run Closing. If we found anything further, we'll re-open. Let me be clear. If I'm wrong, correct me.
But there's one question, how did you open native File Explorer while 'Set Files app as Default Explorer' is on? |
Not all programs will open Files, but the easier way is to type explorer at the start of the Files path bar |
I didn't know that 😅 |
Please let me know if I understood correctly, but is the issue that opening BitLocker opens an online help page instead of Control Panel? |

I was able to reproduce this.

@Josh65-2201 can you update the issue description? |
Done |
Description
When you open BitLocker, select the encrypted hard drive, and select Bitlocker settings, you'll notice that instead of the Control Panel, you'll find that you'll open the native File Explorer documentation. Same issue with native explorers. It doesn't return to normal until the Default Explorer is turned off. I'm guessing it's because of the poor link setting.
