What is it the best way to configure and extract messages inside a project with multiple folders

Hello,

I'm Jakub, first time writing here and I hope all is good :D

I'm opening this discussion to receive some help on my repo to how to configure FormatJS in the right way and make it work as until now I was unable to run it correctly.

My project:

I'm trying to add FormatJS but without success.

The project uses mainly:

• React 17+
• StoryBook

I have essentially 2 main issues which I cannot figure out how to solve it:

1. When run extract not all messages are extracted as I have multi-folders and cannot understand how to fix the extract path to include everything

2. When I run the project I'm getting the following error
   

I have no clue how to configure all correct to have a stable version from where continue myself and I was hoping someone could have a look and help me with this even committing the changes to my repo so i could see what I was doing wrong.

If would be possible also if someone has experience with StoryBook to give me an example in my code how to use FormatJS with one story so I can understand it and continue by myself :)

However, any help will be great to receive and thank you a lot for it :)

hmm can't you do formatjs extract "src/**/*.{ts,js}"?

I already have a babel configuration what else I'm missing?

this seems like a storybook issue so will prob take me a while to debug

looks like removing

'@storybook/preset-create-react-app',
'storybook-addon-intl/register',

works so the issues lie in those 2 addons
storybook-addon-intl uses a super old react-intl and that package looks unmaintained.
IDK about preset-create-react-app looks like it's ignoring custom babel config

I see thanks but in the instruction here https://formatjs.io/docs/guides/testing#storybook they are suggesting to use that library with StoryBook. Seems then the documentation is not up to date then?
