[React] Class components, Refs & injectIntl

[QuarkMuncher]

As the title Suggest, I am attempting to pass a ref to a class component where I also need access to react-intl, the way I try to is:

//Fish.jsx
class Fish extends React.Component {}
export default injectIntl(Fish);


//App.jsx
import Fish from './Fish';
export default function App() {
  const fishRef = useRef();
  return <Fish ref={fishRef} />;
}

This results in the following error message:

index.js:1 Warning: Function components cannot be given refs. Attempts to access this ref will fail. Did you mean to use React.forwardRef()?

Is there a way I can pass the ref through injectIntl?
