The foundationdb-rs crate is a wrapper around the FoundationDB (Fdb) C API. After more than a year, version 0.6.0 brings new features, cleanups and bug-fixes 🦀

A notes about correctness ✅
FoundationDB is well-known for their Simulation Framework. Even bindings can be checked using something called the BindingTester. Using Github Action's infrastructure, we are running every hour ~1k correctness tests to check if the bindings is behaving correctly. As everything is deterministic, any failing seeds can be reproduced locally. These checks can also be run on pull requests.
At the time of writing, 2,797 scheduled tests have been run to prepare this release, which represents more than 2 millions seeds tested.
What is next 🚀
We are planning to move the crate towards a
1.0.0
version, which will represent a state where advanced applications written in Rust can be built on top of FoundationDB. The1.0.0
backlog can be found here.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
