Delete shortcut

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
To delete something, I have to double click on it to open the modal, and then I can press Delete there, but there is no option, while I would expect to be able to delete it from the canvas directly.

Until now, it has been hard to map the delete button, because it would also remove a character in the editor.

It might be useful to implement it, but with another key combination, like ctrl+d.
