"Your OpenGL2 version (1.1.0) is too low to display the graph."

I'm exploring gephi with a view to using it to understand (denialist sources and developments over time). Have not used anything like this before so this is all new to me.

I've installed the product and immediately get the following error message:
"Your OpenGL2 version (1.1.0) is too low to display the graph.
Update your graphical drivers or configuration."

Machine has a NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 graphics card; I've installed the latest NVDIA driver.

Playing around with some small sample data I can see some basic graphs but it looks like the expected functionality is missing something...

At this point Im stumped as to where next to go.
