Hex colors from node attributes are not recognized and upon correction, palette does not save

Good day all,

I import a graph.ml file which contains color (hex format) as one of the node attributes. This attribute is picked up by gephi after importing. It shows the correct hex code and percentage (of nodes having that color attribute) but displays incorrect color or simply grey color in the small color box.

After manually, retyping the hex code in the 'Choose a color' dialog box, I get the actual colors for all the hex code. I save the project with the hope that palette would also be saved but alas! Next time, I open the saved project, I get the same palette settings described in the above paragraph.
