I am Laszlo, one of the owners of https://github.com/gherking. Our tool is mainly a precompiler for Gherkin feature files with various useful precompilers.
I found your project when we planned to make a precompiler to serve as a linter. You did a good job; we canceled this improvement on our side.
However, I think you and gherkin-lint could benefit from integrating with GherKing:
You can use https://github.com/gherking/gherkin-io to parse feature files. It supports the latest Gherkin syntax, including Rules, making keeping up with Cucumber/Gherkin improvements easier.
@andrewnicols, I wonder if you had a chance to check on this issue? Or are you the right person to talk about this?
The linter question is getting a bit more pressing on our side, and we prefer not to create a competing solution to gherkin-lint, so it would be great to discuss this.
