When running git commands before doing a git duet or a git solo they will fail silently. This morning I was trying to revert a commit and it took me a few minutes before I realized the reason. It would be kind to have some kind of error that provided a reminder to identify yourself instead of failing silently.

Hi @blizzo521!

I wasn't able to reproduce this, which git commands were you running? Also which version of git?
