If there isn't such a thing, it feels like it should be defined as func (r *Reference) Description(allTags bool, otherOptions...) string (where the *plumbing.Reference refers to a CommitObject) - but I could be missing something obvious. I know worst-case, I can shell out and get it. I'm not QUITE a good enough go programmer to write it myself just yet.
My use case is that I'm trying to make a "git-next-tag" in go for myself to increment, automatically change any files specified, tag and push with the next semver version, because I have a GH action that runs on tagging with a version to create a GH release and docker container. I don't have it public JUST yet. Probably will later today.
