hooks/pre-receive permission denied while push

I have copied the Gogs setup from the old SSD including the repository. The server runs fine but when I try to push commits, It ends up with hook execution permission denied. I followed standard setup steps and here are some important details.

1. Reverse Proxy: nginx
2. User: git
3. repository directory permission drwxrwxr-x

Enumerating objects: 89, done.

Please suggest what permission should I set to get this working again. Thanks.
