I am using mimir-distributed on k8s. The document has no explanation where to find/install the tool.

all of the tools are available in the mimir repo: https://github.com/grafana/mimir/tree/main/tools

you can run them with go run:

cd tools/listblocks
go run main.go

agree that it would be good to document that explicitly as well
