I can see that the last commit was around jun which is approx six month from now.
There are many issues and PR hanging.
also even the website is not updated like the plugin listing is not working etc.

Is this project still maintained ?
if not, what we as community and users can do to help this.

Thanks

I came here for the same question.
Looking at the list of unanswered issues kinda gives the answer to that simple question.

Time to move on I guess...

Would be a shame if Grunt died... I mean, it's doing the job for me just fine... why abandon it?

we could fork it and use it but it doesnt make sense then this project will have 100s of forks with different fixes.

I wonder whats the issue ?

If they need help and support, I would be happy to do my part, but nothing is confirmed.

We still maintain parts of it, security issues, etc and especially the plugins.

Is here some who can check the plugins page on the website? I think it's not working for everyone.

Edit: Click here for the fork link (please note that this is subject to change as I might change the name.

I think it is better to stick to main grunt project anyway. Maybe it is just a communication problem - I still think that community of grunt is strong and we could find resources to help core team and keep it alive.

We've had two releases this year so Grunt is still maintained and active.
