Convert Cypress test to Playwright

Cypress tests are currently having issues (see #2638 ). One of the solutions was to use Playwright as it doesn't alter the DOM in a way that makes React cranky.

Installed via the VS Code extension, but then needed to run yarn as it made a npm lockfile instead.
