Guys, would you have a list of themes/templates we could use?

On your list of sites powered by Hyde you have some sites, but they are too personal and full of contents for us to develop on their top. I mean, would be better having something basic, some simple themes with minimal contents, wouldn't it?

Besides that, your list is kind of out of date, there are some links giving a 404; there's one of them which is not even Hyde anymore (I'm sorry, I can remember which)

Thanks!

@VirtuaCreative - Yes, that list definitely needs some going over :) We have been talking about new themes for hyde.

Great! Let me know when you have some news!

I'm setting up a list of multiple SSGs templates for GitLab Pages (not gitHUB Pages, got it?), and we can have some Hyde templates there! :) I'm setting up with your default theme but we know people like a huge variety of themes to choose! :)

Thanks for replying!

I've put some thought into this recently as well. It'd be great to have a hyde-themes repository where users and developers can submit templates / themes. This could be similar to the ones maintained by vim-airline and oh-my-zsh. If others are interested in this, I'm happy to get the ball rolling.

@jonafato - 👍 We should also figure out if external themes load properly with create.

Awesome @jonafato @lakshmivyas !!

I've already created a group for Jekyll Themes, Middleman Themes and a generic Themes and Templates. If you want I can create a group for Hyde Themes as well, as grant you access. :) But if you don't want me to do that, I'll leave the namespace for you, of course. ;)

Perhaps you are asking yourselves why am I doing this. I'm writing a blog post as a guest writer for GitLab and I'll add a link for multiple SSGs templates that we tested with GitLab Pages. There are some folks at GitLab who are helping me out. We expect to have about 15 themes/templates exposed on this article. Yours is already one of them. :) We will add links to those groups too and invite people to contribute with their own themes/templates.

The default hyde template generated by hyde create is live on GitLab:

Project: https://gitlab.com/themes-templates/hyde
Website: https://themes-templates.gitlab.io/hyde/

The folks on GitLab forked my repo so it's on the official examples too:

Project: https://gitlab.com/pages/hyde
Website: https://pages.gitlab.io/hyde/

Thanks @VirtuaCreative for bringing this up.

I'm just having a first look at Hyde and already wish I could create a 'blank' blog that doesn't use the default layout. Reason being I don't like the default layout but don't have the time right now to go through all the files to make bigger adjustments.

(Maybe there is a way to do this and I just haven't figured it out?)

You're welcome @kerstin!

Maybe there is a way to do this and I just haven't figured it out?

I have no idea... :/
