On the new product pages, the cross-sells element is lower than it was on the old php pages.
It was above the product details and specs on the php pages.
Now that it's way down the page (past the specs, product info, and repair guides), it makes less sense to have the current item selected.
I remember having a conversation about moving up the cross-sells on the page, but I don't remember the conclusion.
1.) awkwardly opting them into second purchase by selecting it be default 2.) having it default to selecting the current product as well by default. This is fine in concept but i could easily see someone adding to cart at the top, then scrolling down and seeing a useful addition in the Cross Sell section and hitting the button there too, without realizing they now have 2 of the current product in their cart.
Do we know how people interact with this element right now? If users are traveling that far down the page, have they added the item to their cart yet?
