Lost library after upgrade

The bug

I upgraded to the latest version v1.103.1 in Docker, but I lost my library. The data within the library still exists. How do I link the newly created container to the original library?

Which version did you upgrade from, and what steps did you take to upgrade?

excatly same situation applying (if i weel all understood the release notes) recommandations for migration from 101 to 103

I don't do copy of something, it should be my error!

It means surely that i dont understand what was asked to be done.

Is there a way to do the copy now or all is lost now?

You should use the docker-compose.yml that you were using before, not the new one, when you update.

Same issue here: Used new .env and docker-compose.yml and then docker compose pull && docker compose up -d

After pulling and starting the containers I will be asked to create a new user. Data is in library:

Upgraded from 1.94.1 to v1.105.1

I have no data loss due to backups, but am wondering how to keep my data.

You should not be using a new docker compose if you didn't migrate the files from the Docker volume to a bind mount. With that said, 1.94.1 to current is a big update, and you will need to go through the breaking changes release notes to make those changes: https://github.com/immich-app/immich/discussions?discussions_q=label%3Abreaking-change+sort%3Adate_created

Thank you, @mmomjian! I kept the .yml and .env in the first place. After pulling and restarting the new container images immich didn't start. That's why I used the newest files.

But I actually didn't see the 1.95 update with the postgres change. The adjustment of the database image from 0.1.11 to 0.2.0 was the solution. Now everything works. Thanks to you!
