Hi and thanks for this great project.

I think docs should provide more details about how to run the app in one page and in a few lines.

There is not how to run your app in the "Getting Started Guide" which to me is a very important step that should be listed there.

Also you need a few lines clarifying:

  • how to run inside expo
  • how to run as an ios/android app outside of expo
  • how to generated your app for distribution in apple and google stores.

This can be a few lines describing steps with links(if these are more RN generic instructions) still for beginners(who are you main target) all this should be accessible in one place.

Overall I think your documentation is not very friendly for beginners who wants to see(in a few hours) if ignite will be the right tool to easily create and distribute an app to the world. Too much talk about expo, and other concepts that are to me the 2nd step to go for after you quickly know this is what you are going to use and you know how to run the basic steps.

Good feedback @delkant. I appreciate you taking the time to let us know your thoughts!

We'll work to address this. One thing that has been true of Ignite since the beginning is that we don't really target beginners as our main target (it's more for experienced devs) -- however, we don't want Ignite to be inaccessible to beginners, so improving the docs in this direction is always a good idea.

Helps address #2663.

More updates needed, but this is a nice start.
