I have noticed that the extension icon's color is static.
This is problematic when the background color of the Firefox theme matches the icon's color:

In other situations, it can be tolerable, but still doesn't go with the theme:
EDIT: There may be a method to do this here. Looking through, I see a method that uses a light, and a dark icon which switch based on the theme.
If you do not have the software required for editing SVGs, here are versions of the icon for light and dark theme:
