After googling around about GNU Patch I have found you can set different p numbers. I tried to set different p numbers in update.php lines 121 and 132
To make the update process more user friendly and foolproof, it'd be cool if the command update could take the p value as an argument.

Thanks for the head's up. What p number ended up working for you?
The latest patch seems to be the same as previous patches, and I would think as long as they're always generated the same way they should all work with the same p number.
Hi,
this was a new site, so it was the first patch ever applied. It worked for
p6
An option would be also to put p number in configuration, since you only
need to set it once.
