It would be convenient for companies sharing the same workspace.

As this could sound interesting, I don't think that is possible. Working with the different workspaces requires to fetch a token for each one, thus requiring multiple logins, keeping state for each workspace as the same time, etc.

Unless I'm wrong, this will complicate a LOT the way the app works, so it's a no go for me at the moment.

If someone finds or knows an easier solution, please share it with us 😉

Another way would be to simply use shared channel feature in Slack.

According to Slack documentation about shared channels :

A bot user 🤖 is able to DM users on both workspaces, as long as users are in a shared channel together.

This could be a way to make a cross-company Secret Santa as it would just require to make a shared channels with all the participants. This need to be investigated though 🙂
