Does not work with conditional tags

Plugin works wonderful for my HTML email needs, except it's not adding styles to conditional statements.

What it looks like:
<!--[if (gte mso 9)|(IE)]> <table width="640" align="center"><tr><td align="center"> <![endif]-->

What it should look like:
<!--[if (gte mso 9)|(IE)]> <table width="640" align="center" style="border-spacing:0;font-family:sans-serif;color:#333333;" ><tr><td align="center" style="padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0;padding-right:0;padding-left:0;" > <![endif]-->

I would appreciate this functionality too.
