window.check_settings() make remarkable error and not working

Hi, after some update (idk which ones because i dont use remarkable every day) i have this error when trying to launch remarkable

The help/version command work without errors.

Like we can see there is a problem with

window.check_settings()

which seems to return empty or unexpected things.

I commented the

window.check_settings()

in

/usr/lib/python3.8/site-packages/remarkable/init.py

and now it works but it is just a workaround for me to work momentally with remarkable. So if devs have some help to provide please
