My Mathjax expressions aren't rendering properly after update, please help!

Hey everyone!

I updated my conda environment using:

conda update --all

It upgraded my JL and all other packages in my environment. Problem is, now my math expressions aren't displaying properly even though they were perfectly fine before the upgrade.

Look. this used to be the output of one of my cells:

And, for the same input, this is the current output I am getting:

Also, in other cells, math formulas are simply not displaying in the same notebook they were showing just right a few minutes ago. Look:

Sometimes, it doesn't show the yellow fringe. Still, it doesn't render properly, look:

Please help! Please, please, please!

I solved the problem by restoring to my previous git backup. I couldn't find the error in my code.
