Within Cell Search Gets Hidden on Lost Focus

I type a search term and then hit enter:

and then there is no UI indicator on what is being search for, just the terms are highlighted (or not if not found):

It is odd to hide the search box. For example see chrome's search box:

Following up on this, how useful is within cell searching vs global searching? Right now cmd/ctrl f hijacks the browser (global) search to do within cell search. This can be somewhat unexpected and undesired if the user wants to do global searching.

FYI, Pressing cmd/ctrl f twice pulls up the browser search.
