As of version 1.1.0, the JupyterLab conda-forge package is a noarch package that uses the current server extension enable mechanism instead of running jupyter serverextension enable in post-link scripts. Most users will not notice any difference. If you are using the jupyterlab conda-forge package with version 5.2 or earlier of the notebook package, and you are starting JupyterLab with jupyter notebook, you may need to enable the server extension manually. We did this in the conda-forge package with jupyter serverextension enable jupyterlab --py --sys-prefix, for example.

See conda-forge/jupyterlab-feedstock#111
