Log message consolidation

@ivanov remarked as the first thing that the output message consolidation in the log console is really confusing.

New idea:

• The status bar shows the number of new incoming messages (i.e., the log version minus the log displayed version). If the number of new messages is zero, don't display a number, so just the icon displays.
• The consolidation happens so that the timestamps don't lie to the user. i.e., if the previous message was the same stream channel and the previous timestamp is the same second, consolidate. Otherwise, do not consolidate.
