For context, I'm writing a blog post about restarting work on The Simplest Notebook, which re-assembles JupyterLab components with an eye towards simpler educational use cases. @jasongrout suggested something like this to exist in the lab docs so it is clearly a blessed use case, rather than something ridiculous like a fork. |
