kubernetes-sigs/controller-runtime#2783 introduced new generic Source, Event, Predicate and Handler types. Let's try to leverage them to get rid of a lot of our type cases that we have when using the "non-typed" versions of these types.

A first PR in this direction:

This issue is currently awaiting triage.

CAPI contributors will take a look as soon as possible, apply one of the triage/* labels and provide further guidance.
